In Your Boots Fitness is about moving – for health, for vitality, for inhabiting your life in fun, creative and dynamic ways so you can stand – in your boots.


In January 2017, Toni Harris founded In Your Boots Fitness in Edmonton. In Your Boots is as an inclusive, holistic personal fitness training business that specializes in providing skilled programming for folks who are typically intimidated to go to ‘the gym’ – queer folks, sedentary folks, older folks, folks who inhabit plus size bodies. Toni offers her services on location at Generate Fitness at 17210 – 106 A Avenue.

She is a queer femme, a single mom, and someone who has struggled for decades to develop her own mind-body connection due to trauma. Through her own journey with mindful eating and exercise, she has realized her desire to help other folks create their own healthy practices, in ways that work for them.

Toni is passionately curious about how the human body moves, and works to help bodies move and feel better! She believes in functional fitness and body positivity – assessing your particular needs (physical and emotional) to design fun, safe, and effective training programs to steadily progress towards getting you ‘in your boots’, on your fitness terms.

Toni is a certified Personal Fitness Trainer through the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology, and is a Corrective Exercise Specialist through the National Academy of Sport Medicine trained through NAIT’s outstanding Personal Fitness Trainer program.

In collaboration with Queerflex and the Pride centre of Edmonton, she has developed and delivers Education to help fitness facilities in edmonton and surrounding areas become safer, and more friendly and accessible for the members of the LGBTQ community.
